Mother’s Day ‘08
Okay, so I’m still busier than busy itself. However, excuses aside, shame on me for not taking the time to plug my super el coolo madre (sorry, don’t know how to say it in Japanese. Adrienne? Mali? Hello? A little help here, please!) on her special day this weekend.
So on Sunday we met up in Newport Beach for a little dinner at HoSum Bistro, a place my mom and stepdad have been visiting for ages. Like, eons or something. And the same waitress has been serving them ever since. They even have a picture of them on the wall where my mom is making some kind of funny face while holding a potsticker in chopsticks in front of her mouth. If any claims can be made about me having a weird sense of humor, now you know where I get it from.
But aside from that, my mom is great. :-) Beautiful, funny, smart, and kinder than kind itself.
Here are a couple of pics I grabbed after dinner while walking around Lido Island:
Aren’t they cute?
Love you, Mom!

I was going to answer your “mom in Japanese” question, but looks like your mom beat me to it! haha. Hope you’re having a great time in London!!!

Thank you Wayne, that is the best photo I now have of mom and Duane. Take care of yourselves and have a great time over there, by the way it’s only about three weeks till we fly to Sweden.
Best wishes,
uncle Bob

HI Wayne,
That is a great picture of your mom and my cousin Duane!! Don’t see too many pictures of Duane.
Congrat’s on the upcoming son in the family. We need to talk about Fresno - our Barbi and her family live up there and Carl and I have bought a house up there too.
